Please consider this letter the punch list of items to be taken care of before acceptance by the City of Tucson for maintenance and operation. Future inspections will require a Letter of Certification that all punch list items have been resolved by the Engineering of Record. In addition Traffic Engineering may have additional punch list items pertaining to traffic signage and striping. 1. Please insure that the Right-of-Way Excavation Permit is current before working on any punch list items. If the permit is expired, a new permit for the P.I.A is required prior to any remedial work or re-inspection of the subject site. 2. Construction fence is blocking off the sidewalk area on Congress and Cushing for the installation of 18" drainage pipe and lot improvements. Sidewalk pavers have been removed from site. 3. Two curb access ramps at the northwest corner of Avenida Del Convento and Paseo De Los Zanjeros are in need of repair. The truncated dome panel on one is loose and is cracked. The other curb access ramp has a broken wing. 4. On the west side, the parking area, have stress cracking at the edge of the joint. The joint is pulling away from the roadway pavement and has 1" deep voids at the edge. 5. The irrigation pipes have not been backfilled after apparent repairs at approx.+/- 16.00 in the median at the handicap parking spaces. 6. There is a large oil or hydraulic spill at the southwest corner of the knuckle on Cushing. 7. One sidewalk square at the back of the curb access ramp and the curb access ramp wing on the southwest corner of Cushing knuckle at approx. +/- 10+25 are broken. 8. Extruded curb transitions have been constructed for water harvesting in the gutter line for water harvesting. These are located along the westside of Cushing in the parking space areas. 9. The water harvesting installed is not per plan. The construction is the same as was constructed in the on site portion on Menlo Mercado improvements. WLB is to identify and locate the 2" inlets and the 4" perforated pipe, at which time it will be accepted conditionally. We will review again at the end of the warranty period. At which time if problems are present inlets will be plugged. 10. The submitted physical properties of aggregates indicate an unacceptable amount of fines. 11. The testing submitted for the 36" storm drain R.C.P at sta. 10+72, indicate substandard compaction. 12. Drainage problem on the east side of Cushing at each roadway. Ponding was noticed and photo documented. See email to Steve Cuffe 7-15-08. Future inspections for the final acceptance will require a Letter of Certification from the Engineer of Record & resolution of all punch list items & completion of areas that were excluded from the conditional acceptance. |

Please consider this letter the punch list of items to be addressed/ rectified prior to the acceptance of improvements in the public rights-of-way by the City of Tucson for maintenance and operation. Future inspections will require a Letter of Certification that the Engineer of Record has resolved all punch list items. In addition to the following items, Traffic Engineering may have additional punch list items pertaining to traffic signage and striping. 1. Please insure that the Right-of-Way Excavation Permit is current before working on any punch list items. If the permit is expired, a new permit for the P.I.A is required prior to any remedial work or re-inspection of the subject site. 2. The first limited right of way curb access ramp on the westside of Paseo De Los Zanjeros at approx. Sta.14+00.00 16' RT on Congress exceeds 2% and is not within ADA requirements. 3. The Survey Monument at Sta. 11+68.44 on Paseo De Los Zanjeros is not stamped. Per your submitted comments to my punch list, it is noted that the following items are still incomplete and will have to be completed before acceptance by the City. * The streets need to be swept and free of sediment. * The basins needed to be free of weeds and debris. * Broken concrete bollards at the speed tables of the northeast corner of Calle De Higos and Sembrador, and the southwest corner of Zanjeros and Sembrador need to be replaced and the pavers reset. * Rio Development needs to resolve their construction of Water Harvesting with the City either DG or constructed sidewalk to the full back of the sidewalk limits. * Along Congress Street, on the south side, there are unfinished areas of sidewalk around street light utility boxes. * The site has a few areas with construction debris piles. |
