Please consider this letter the punch list of itmes to be addressed/ rectified prior to the acceptance of improvements in the public rights-of-way by the City of Tucson for maintenance and operation. Future inspections will require a Letter of Certification that the Engineer of Record has resolved all punch list items. In addition to the following items, Traffic Engineering may have additional punch list items pertaining to traffic signage and striping. 1. Please insure that the Right-of-Way Excavation Permit is current before working on any punch list items. If the permit is expired, a new permit for the P.I.A is required prior to any remedial work or re-inspection of the subject site. 2. Please provide the testing results for AB as well as for the asphalt placed on this project. 3. No quantity list was submitted when the final inspection was requested. 4. Sidewalks are to be swept clear of gravel. 5. All water meters are to be adjusted to grade. 6. West of the curb transition, on Xochipilli Street, at sta. 18+05.91 are two wedge curb sections that have numerous, deep cracks. 7. The concrete overlay on the scupper, on Xochipilli Street, at sta. 15+87.75, 18' RT is defective. It is cracking and has chipped sections that are missing. 8. The sidewalk area of the driveway apron at lot 47 has footprints embedded in the concrete finish. 9. The concrete overlay on the scupper, on Xochipilli Street, at sta. 9+30.30 28.09' RT is defective. It is cracking and has chipped sections that are missing. 10. In front of Lot 43, in the street, there are large gouges in the pavement. 11. There is a large chip in the curb, at the driveway apron, in front of Lot 43. 12. There are numerous gouges in the sidewalk in front of Lot 50. 13. On the northeast corner of Xochipilli and Mechica Court is a sidewalk transition that is not 3:1 around a fire hydrant. 14. Remove and replace All grey expansion material, that has been placed in City right of way, and replace with city approved black asphaltic expansion material. 15. Remove the unused water meter box in front of Lot 6. 16. At Lot 6 is a sinkhole between sidewalk and curb. 17. The driveway apron is broken at Lot 8. 18. Seal all pavement joints. 19. The two survey monuments on Teocally Court have not been stamped or punched. 20. On Aztlan Court at sta. 7+92.59, 18.85' LT is a water patch that is sunken and has large backhoe teeth gouges on the edges of the patch. 21. On Silverbell at south end of entrance is a failing water valve patch. 22. North of Xochipilli Street in the right of way on Silverbell is a large pile of gravel and a discarded subdivision sign. 23. On the north side of the new culvert extension on Silverbell, at approx. sta. 23+15.27, 54' LT., is an erosion problem. The north side of the basin has been eroded and some of the riprap is displaced also some filter fabric has been exposed. 24. The limited right of way curb access ramp between lots 55 and 56, on Xochipilli Street, has a slope greater than 2% wich is not per ADA standards. 25. The cross slope of the sidewalk adjacent to the driveway apron of Lot 22 and just north of the curb access ramp, on Chante Court , is greater than 2% wich is not to ADA standards. 26. The following lots have driveways that are not to ADA standards. The following items need to be addressed before we can forward our recommendation for your project's acceptance. * The 25 mph speed limit sign and post is still missing for westbound traffic on Xochipilli Street at Silverbell Road, per plans , page 3: *The "No Parking- Fire Access Tow Away" signs and posts are still missing from the four cul-de-sacs, as per the plans, page 4 and 5: Mechia Court Chante Court Aztlan Court Eocally Court * The "No Outlet" (W14-2/30"/30") sign and post requested in my letter dated March 8, 2006, for the westbound traffic on Xochipilli Street, 50 feet west of Silverbell Road, needs to be installed. Please complete these requests, as soon as possible, so that we may release your Traffic Engineering obligation and forward our recommendation for your project's acceptance. |
