07/24/2020 PDSD Engineering Division Pre-Construction SITE DROBERTS Approved Entered by RSALDAT1 - IS APPROVED AT THIS TIME. DURING THIS INSPECTION THE FOLLOWING ITEMS HAVE BEEN NOTED: THE NEW CURB SHOWN ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE SITE HAS ALREADY BEEN CONSTRUCTED WITHOUT INSPECTION AT THIS TIME. I AM SCHEDULING ANOTHER MEETING ON SITE FOR 7/27/2020 TO LOOK AT THE WORK THAT HAS BEEN COMPLETED TO THIS DATE. ADA COMPLIANCE CHECKS FOR ALL AFFECTED AREAS WILL BE DONE AT THAT TIME TO ENSURE ALL COMPLETED WORK WITHOUT INSPECTIONS IS COMPLIANT. SOME ITEMS ON THE APPROVED PLANS HAVE BEEN CALLED INTO QUESTION FOR THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: 1) NONE OF THE PARKING AREA ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE SITE HAS BEEN COMPLETED, THE PARKING LOT IS IN THE ORIGINAL CONDITION. WORK NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED AS SHOWN ON THE APPROVED DRAWINGS PRIOR TO ADDITIONAL INSPECTIONS BEING SCHEDULED. 2) ON THE APPROVED PLANS ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF THE PROPERTY EAST OF CATALINA MARKET A STRIPED PEDESTRIAN PATHWAY IS SHOWN. THE ADA COMPLIANCE FOR SLOPE WILL BE CHECKED ON 7/27/20 FOR BOTH THE RUNNING AND CROSS SLOPES. AT THIS TIME THERE IS A SIGN POLE FOUNDATION THAT IS NOT SHOWN ON THE APPROVED PLANS THAT IS WITHIN THIS PATHWAY. THE PATHWAY WILL NEED TO BE SHIFTED SOUTH TO ALLOW PROPER CLEARANCE AROUND THE FOUNDATION. THIS MAY ALSO CAUSE THE REMOVAL OF PARKING SPACE/S TO MAKE THIS PATHWAY COMPLIANT. 3) WITH NOTE 2 ABOVE THE PARKING MAY NEED TO BE SHIFTED SOUTH WHICH WILL POSSIBLY CAUSE ISSUES WITH THE PAAL FOR THE DRIVE THRU TRAFFIC. CURRENTLY IT APPEARS THAT THE PAAL ALIGNMENT IS JUST SOUTH OF THE NORTHERN PARKING SPACES, MOVING THEM SOUTH MAY REQUIRE RECONSIDERATION OF THE PAAL FOR DRIVE THRU. 4) ON THE APPROVED PLANS IT SHOWS THAT THERE TO EXISTING DRIVEWAYS ON THE EAST SIDE OF COUNTRY CLUB ADJACENT TOTHIS PROPERTY. IT ALSO SHOWS THAT A NEW DRIVEWAY IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN BETWEEN THE EXISTING DRIVEWAYS, BUT THE EXISTING DRIVEWAYS ARE NOT SHOWN TO BE CLOSED DURING THE PERMIT WORK. THE QUANTITY OF DEPRESSED CURBS FOR ONE PROPERTY PER THIS APPROVED PLAN EXCEEDS THE ALLOWABLE QUANTITY/SIZE THAT IS NORMALLY APPROVED BY THE CITY OF TUCSON TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT. I HAVE ASKED THE PROPERTY OWNER IF THEY HAVE A RIGHT-OF-WAY PERMIT FOR THIS WORK, THEY DO NOT BELIEVE THA THEY DO. 5) I DO NOT SEE THE COUNTRY CLUB WORK IS TO BE COMPLETED IN ANY TYPE OF DIAGRAM OR ANY CROSS SECTION OF THE AFFECTED AREA. PLEASE PROVIDE APPROVED DETAILS FOR THE WORK CALLED INTO QUESTION AT THIS TIME. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS MAY BE ADDED TO THIS LIST ON 7/27/2020 AFTER A MORE THOROUGH INSPECTION IS PERFORMED.
