05/11/2015 COT - ENGR - Site - Assurance Release DROBERTS Correction Required Entered by DROBERT5 - MET ONSITE WITH DAVID MAGGART AND ALLAN ROSS FROM TOFEL CONSTRUCTION AND DISCUSSED THE ITEMS MENTION IN THE PREVIOUS INSPECTION DATED 5/8/2015. THEY WILL BE LOOKING OVER THE SITE AND SEE WHAT IS THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MAKING THE NEEDED CHANGES. I HAVE ADVISED THEM THAT ARMANDO WILL BE COMING TO THE SITE LATE THIS AFTERNOON OR TOMORROW TO DISCUSS HOW THEY WILL NEED TO ADDRESS ANY ISSUES WITH THE PEDESTRIAN ACCESS INTO AND FROM THE WORK AREAS. TOFEL WILL CONTACT THE SUBCONTRACTORS AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY PERFORM THE NEEDED HOUSE KEEPING OF THE SITE AND CLEAR UP ALL OUTSTANDING ISSUES. MIKLE RUSSO WILL VISIT THE SITE THIS WEEK TO VERIFY THAT ALL THE REQUESTED WORK IS COMPLETED. PICTURES FROM THIS SITE VISIT WILL BE PRINTED AND PLACE IN THIS FILE FOR FUTURE REFERANCE.
05/08/2015 COT - ENGR - Site - Assurance Release DROBERTS Correction Required Entered by DROBERT5 - DROVE OUT TO THE SITE AND WALKED THE AREA TOO SEE WHAT TYPE OF WORK HAD BEEN DONE, AND WHAT WAS STILL NEEDED FOR THIS SITE. THIS SITE DEVELOPMENT PACKAGE WAS ISSUED WITHOUT ANY INSPECTIONS ATTACHED. THE FOLLOWING ISSUES HAVE BEEN NOTED ON THIS SITE AND WILL NEED TO BE ADDRESSED PRIOR TO THE FINAL APPROVAL: 1) SIDEWALK HAS BEEN POURED THAT WILL NEED TO BE CHECKED TO ENSURE THAT IT IS WITHIN THE ADA REQUIREMENTS, PLUS ANY ACCESS RAMPS. 2) CONCRETE AND PAINT WASHOUTS HAVE BEEN NOTED THROUGHOUT THE SITE IN OPEN AREAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND ARE NOT BEING CONTAINED IN ANY MANNER. 3) PEDESTRIAN SAFETY HAS BEEN QUESTIONED SINCE NONE OF THE WORK SITE HAS BEEN FENCED OFF FROM THE PUBLIC. THIS MAY BE HARD TO ACCOMPLISH SINCE WORK ON VARIOUS APARTMENTS ARE BEING DONE IN AREAS ADJACENT TO OCCUPIED APARTMENTS IN THE SAME UNIT. 4) OVERALL SITE MAINTENANCE NEEDS TO BE DONE TO SEPERATE THE WORKING SITES FROM THE LIVING SITE. I HAVE LEFT A MESSAGE WITH TOFEL CONSTRUCTION TO SEE IF WE CAN HAVE AN ONSITE MEETING MONDAY TO DISCUSS THE CURRENT CONCERNS. I TALKED TO RON BROWN UPON RETURNING TO THE OFFICE TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL MY CONCERNS ARE VALID AND CAN BE COVERED BY THE 2012 BUILDING CODES, HE ADVISED NOTING 2012 IBC Section 3306.1
