| 12/26/2024 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | On site at property - Met with Property Manager, Maria Arrendondo, and asked if there were any reports or maintenance requests made regarding roaches in this unit. Maria stated that the tenant is 4 months behind on her rent payment and claims she made a pest control request by email in November 2024, but sent it to the wrong address. Since then no other requests were sent. When Maria was able to inspect the unit, she noticed only 2 live roaches at that time. Since that inspection, Maria has made attempts to have the maintenance staff set temporary pest control measures, while waiting for Northwest Pest Control to perform more thorough pest control measures. The tenant would not allow the maintenance staff to enter her apartment and will only allow a professional pest control service to perform their services. Myself, Inspector Bigman and Maria attempted to speak with the tenant by knocking on the door of unit #120, but after 3 times knocking, there was no answer, even though we could hear sounds coming from the apartment. I also attempted to make contact by phone with the tenant on file at 727-503-7013, with no answer and the voice mailbox not set up and could not leave a message. Due to this information and not being able to make contact with the tenant, I am closing this case at this time. NO VERIFY. CLOSE CASE. -AS 1/8/25 - I am reopening this case since I was able to make contact and confirm the initial complaint. -AS |
