Arrived and the units were clearing and the fire investigators were done with the investigation for cause. The main fire unit was unit #410 where the fire was on the stove area. The range hood burned and some cabinets. The sprinkler head went off and flooded the unit. Had a pot left on with grease on the stove and the tenant left the unit. There was no structural damage to the unit but the water went down the hallway and has water to other units. Units with water on the floor are, #409, #408, #404, #411 with no fire damage to the units. Unit #310 has some water dripping from the ceiling area and the tenant has been cleaning the water as it drips. Has someone coming to extract the water from the floors. The walls and ceilings, appliances, cabinets, doors have some smoke damage. Climate came and changed the sprinkler head and re-charged the fire system. The property is City of Tucson property and the maintenance were on site cleaning areas and moving people out of the units. Unit #410 and #409 are having the locks changed to keep the tenants out until the repairs have been completed. The walls and ceilings will be tested for moisture in the walls and ceiling to decide the amount of drywall removed. At this time the case will be closed due to the maintenance crew will do the work needed on the repairs. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV. |
