12/23/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a electrical fire at the main electrical panel. Arrived and the units were still on site and the fire investigators were on site checking for cause. The main house was not damaged by the fire and the fire was located in a room added to the rear of the house and the door was closed. The main electrical panel had a hole in the door panel and the main breaker was burned. The wires that feed the main breaker were burned and a piece was on the ground where it separated from the other wiring. The wires were cut at the pole and removed from the property. The fire was contained to the electrical panel and a bar with record albums in the selves. The electrical panel and the meter were inside the room and may require to be moved to the exterior of the house when re-installed. The house has security bars and will be able to secure the house when completed. The owner was on site and signed the paperwork and will be staying with the daughter and going out of town for the holidays. Did the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window and left the site due to the owner was still packing and will lock up when leaving the house. No damage to the main structure of the house. The gas meter was pinned and past the line test and the survey and can be turned back on once the electrical has been turned back on. RV.
