11/03/2025 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation Called out to site by TPD for a car versus building at Speedway Gas Station. Car struck front of building right (west) of the front door. Stucco facade is damaged and cracked. There are 2 X 4s inside this enclosure that are cracked and separated, but do not appear to be structural support. There is a metal beam structural support member inside this area which is still in the ground and does appear to be carrying the load at this time. Unable to determine if the metal beam has suffered any damage due to the facade is still covering it. There is electrical in this column in the form of a metal clad cable which has suffered damage and has been mashed in between a wooden stud and OSB board of the facade. Upon arrival, the outlet in this area tested with no power. There was electrical wiring running down this pillar into the enclosure above the double front door that tested live. While on site, I heard popping sounds and the smell of electrical components burning. When the metal clad wire was moved to attempt to isolate power to the line, sparks were observed in the outlet on this column, and on a second separate outlet to the west on the front wall. All power was cut to the building at this time, all breakers turned off. There is a busted out window on the front and a second window that is partially detached from the frame to the right of the front door. A licensed electrician shall review the electrical and isolate the damaged circuit prior to restoring power to the rest of the building. Repairs are required by a licensed contractor with an issued permit. -VM
