11/28/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation 1214 PM - Responded to property, found TFD had already left scene and apartment management and maintenance were on site. Inspector Gonzalez arrived and assisted on the scene. Per maintenance and tenant, fire started on the stove in the kitchen and spread to an air fryer appliance that then caught the structure on fire. Damage to drywall on the kitchen wall, smoke damage to ceiling. The conductor was damaged by the fire and ripped out of the wall, and there are melted outlet covers in this area. Breaker was tripped, and power to this area was isolated and turned off. Breaker was labeled to Remain off. Water and drywall damage throughout. No apparent damage to the unit above, Unit 213. Maintenance was on site and did secure both units 209 and 213. Unit was condemned and placed a Red Tag on front door. Permits are required for repairs and inspection required to lift condemnation before unit can be occupied. -VM
