Water main line break. 6 inch line broke in the road causing a sink hole to form. Car fell into the sink hole. Had TEP & SWG check the services in the area. Electrical lines located underneath the vehicle and gas line is in close proximity. Road on Applewood has movement dirt underneath the asphalt has washed out Water removed water from the sink hole exposing the electrical and gas line. A Hook & Crane was required to remove the car out of the sink hole to avoid damaging the gas line. Gary's Towing removed the car. SWG checked their gas line and determined there are no breaks. TEP shut off electrical to the homes in the area. Asphalt is removed. TEP will ck lines to see if any of the cables were pulled or broken from the asphalt. Once this is verified Water will fill in the sink hole and Transportation will need to repair the road, |
