11/10/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and all the units were still on site and were checking for hot spots and starting to clean up. The fire investigators were on site checking for cause. The fire was in the southwest bedroom and burned into the kitchen area and into the attic space. The electrical and the gas were removed at the meters and will need a permit to be turned back on. Vent holes were cut on the roof in several areas. The drywall in the bedroom and kitchen is burned and pulled down in several areas. The house has heavy smoke damage through out and the windows in the bedroom are burned out. All the other windows have smoke damage but was able to lock all the windows and doors. Did place some screws in the garage door and off on the latch on the control for the garage door. The wood trusses will need to be checked for fire damage and do have smoke damage. The flooring has approx. 3" of standing water in the house. The house was posted of Do Not Enter on the front window and the owner signed the paperwork before going to the hospital with her brother. Front door locked with the plastic bag. RV.
