11/04/2022 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up Completed 1250 PM - RECEIVED CONTACT FROM TENANT THAT OVERNIGHT WATER WAS POURING THROUGH THE CEILING. DID VIEW A VIDEO OF WATER COMING THROUGH CEILING WHERE THE KITCHEN LIGHT FIXTURE IS. ARRIVED ON SITE TO FIND PROFESSIONAL PLUMBING SEWER AND DRAIN COMPANY ON SITE. SPOKE WITH EMPLOYEES, STATED A 1/2 INCH WATER MAIN BROKE UPSTAIRS AND CAUSED THE LEAK. THEY HAD ISOLATED THE PIPE AND WERE MAKING REPAIRS WHICH THEY EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETE IN ABOUT 30 MINUTES. I ENTERED THE UNIT, WHICH HAD FIVE TO SIX BLOWERS TO DRY OUT THE UNIT. THE CEILING AROUND THE LIGHT FIXTURE WAS COMPLETELY DRY WITH NO WATER ACTIVELY LEAKING. THERE WAS ADDITIONAL DAMAGE DONE TO THE DRYWALL AND CEILING. THE UNIT DID HAVE RUNNING WATER IN THE KITCHEN SINK. -VM
12/20/2022 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up Passed 1012 AM - ENTERED APARTMENT WITH MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR AS UNIT IS NOW VACANT. DRYWALL IN KITCHEN AREA HAS BEEN REPAIRED, AND IS BEING REPAIRED IN OTHER AREAS DUE TO THE LEAK. WATER IS NO LONGER PRESENT. VIOLATIONS HAVE BEEN ABATED, CLOSE CASE. -VM
