More than 50% of the structure has significant fire, smoke and water damage , including charring of framing, walls and roofing material. The front facade, porch and roofline are charred and partially collapsed. The interior walls, ceiling and flooring appear structurally compromised due to the fire, smoke and water damage. Exterior support elements and metal framing under the awning are warped and unstable. Water heater was removed prior to the fire. Electrical wiring are melted/destroyed. Electrical service has been disconnected. Electric meter remains in tact. Southwest Gas is on scene and confirmed gas service was disconnected 07/25. Tucson Water service has also been terminated(07/07/25). A large Palo Verde branch that is positioned over the damaged area was on fire and is partially broken/hanging, posing an additional hazard. There is debris, trash, refuse, burnt materials and household items scattered throughout the immediate area Property has been secured with chain link fencing by city contractor. Property is a total loss and condemned. A notice of Do Not Enter, Unsafe to Occupy was posted. Several attempts to reach owner/responsible party with no luck. Permits required for demolition or rehabilitation plans. |
