10/07/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation 204 pm - Vehicle drove through the front wall, south of the front door. More than half the vehicle entered the structure, and was stopped from moving forward at the rear tires which stopped at the foundation. A large portion, approximately 12 feet wide by 6 feet tall section of the block wall was demolished into the structure. There is extensive structural damage in the area including cracking up to the roof on both sides of the damage. Inside, there is extensive damage to the drywall/interior wall with large cracking in the area that extends multiple feet from the edge of the vehicle opening. There is cracking extending up to the ceiling. There is an electrical line ran through the brick in this area, and the Romex line was sheared off and found to be bare and live at the time of arrival. Was able to isolate the breaker and turn it off. Resident was instructed to leave off at all times due to risk of electrical hazards. There was a water line in front of the home which was damaged and water was off upon arrival. The resident on site had a plumber enroute to make emergency repairs to restore water to the home. The resident on site did clear enough debris to make room for egress in the event of emergency. Called and spoke with property owner who had a contractor on the way to shore up and board up the structure. The contractor did arrive and took measurements to make emergency shore up. Issued NOV for repairs to be made within 60 days by a licensed contractor under Issued Permit. Resident on site signed the Notice and Order. -VM
