10/23/2023 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a building fire. Arrived and all the units were on site and were checking for hot spots and starting to clean up. The fire investigators were on site checking for cause. The structure has been involved in fires several times and secured several times due to homeless inside the structure. The building has no utilities and has been vacant for some time. The fire was in the front portion of the building and appears that the homeless were camping inside. All the boards on the doors and windows have been removed to fight the fire. Another vent hole was cut on the roof to vent due to a lot of smoke in the building. Did call Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the openings covered to prevent entry into the building. The building has been emptied out and may of started to get warm due to getting cold. Did make contact with the owner who lives in California and will check on demoing the building. The wood framing for the roof has fire damage through out. The windows have been removed in several openings. T.F.D. was called back due to a mattress cover started to burn. Did the posting of the paperwork on the front window and posted Do Not Enter on both structures on the property. RV. |
