Front porch has rotted and deteriorated beams, requires permit for repairs. The porch roof is sagging and becoming detached from the wall. The entire front yard of this unit is full of trash and debris. Occupant of unit allowed entry. Missing electrical outlets inside unit, missing outlet covers throughout. There is a cooktop and coffee maker being powered in the kitchen through a series of extension cords and power strips that are attached to the walls and ceilings, and loose on the floors throughout the structure. Extension cords are daisychained throughout. Lighting inside the unit is being powered throughout the unit. The side yard porch and the rear porch are stacked high with trash and debris to the ceiling. Multiple extension cords are coming out of rear building through the doors and window openings. Unable to determine which units are powering but it would appear to be both unit two and three. The extension cords enter the front structure through the rear porch and are the extension cords themselves are covered in trash and debris. There are missing outlet covers on the exterior of the rear structure and damaged outlets. The rear yard of the property is covered in refuse and debris, to include multiple vehicles. The front door and the rear door of the rear building are both open an unsecured. All boards on all structures have been removed without condemnation being lifted by City Of Tucson. Gas meters are still pinned off. Called all available numbers could not reach owner. TEP was called to cut power and contractor called to reboard the structure. TEP arrived and cut power at the pole, permits required and inspection required for reconnect. City contractor arrived and secured doors and open windows. Both structures were posted with unsafe to occupy red tags. Notice of violation posted at front structure. -VM | |
02/28/2024 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up | In Violation | 155 PM - Met on site w/ owner of property due to owner requesting to lift condemnation on a unit of the rear duplex. All trash and debris has been removed from the sidewalk area. Some trash and debris has been removed from the front yard. The electrical panel on the front home has been stripped of wiring and breakers. There are concerns for the electrical run to the duplex. It appears to be run through a series of conduit including metal clad like conduit and conduit run under eaves and along fences that is becoming detached. Will be requiring a licensed electrician to review the electrical system and make repairs under permit before a reconnect can be issued. Unit C also lacks a smoke detector in bedroom and living area window and bedroom area window are broken or inoperable. In addition, went over the following items needing to be in compliance before case can be closed: 1. All storage in front yard removed 2. Remove shed from front yard 3. Vehicle E350 put in backyard or be running 4. Plywood removed from structure in the west side yard. -VM | |
