Fire department responded to a fire call and found two individuals living inside the detached building at the south of the property. Upon arrival, one door was locked, one was unlocked, and one door on the southern most part of this structure is missing/removed. I was able to lock the unlocked door and secure it. The main home rear door was found removed and breached. The structure itself appears to be under a remodel without permits. All walls are removed down to the studs. Electrical is removed in some areas, and wires cut. There are holes into the floor, can see floor joists and the crawl space below. The front door is partially open, with one screw holding it shut. The property has no water service from the City of Tucson since November 2023. The electric meter was found inside the structure. The electric panel on the outside of the home is detached from the building and is in disrepair. The HVAC system appears to have been removed. There are no phone numbers listed for the owner. Board up contractor was called to the scene to secure the structure. Structure has been posted with Red Tags as unsafe to occupy. Due to history of this property, recommend placing this property onto the VANS list. Structure needs to be rehabilitated with a Res Adtn Alteration Permit, or demolished under permit. -VM |
