09/28/2023 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | 1053 AM - Tenant states had issues with electric in kitchen where half of outlets and lights went out, called an electrician who discovered issues. Rear panel box at electric meter has evident work done without permits. Meter has been partially covered by drywall limiting access to equipment. The porch area where the meter sits (east of the permitted addition) has been enclosed without permits into living space. Light fixture in this room is connected at a junction box that is missing a cover. There is another junction box in this room missing a cover, on the former exterior wall. Appears a window was enclosed on this wall. The referenced steering wheel lock is hanging from the cable or phone run from pole to house, is not in contact with the electric run. Gas lines likely were moved, this was likely addressed under permits T19CM01489 and T19CM07836. There does not appear to be sufficient clearance from the roof to the electric drop. The front carport was enclosed into living space with no permits. A new carport has been built and attached to the illegally enclosed carport to the north. A second carport was built to the west of this, which has electrical and is attached to the structure, it also extends to the property line with no regard for setbacks, was done without permits or DDO. There is a hole in the ceiling in the master bedroom closet. The door handle to the outside of the permitted addition does not turn, and restricts access to the outside. There is an approximately 2 foot long crack in the stucco on the far south west part of the permitted addition, under a window. Notice of violation will be sent. -VM |
