Cracked outlet in bedroom replaced. Hole in kitchen soffit has been patched and repainted. Drywall has been patched and painted near air intake. -VM
04/16/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation On site at the property for various other cases with Inspectors Bigman and Gonzalez. Observed multiple extension cords ran from the rear of the office behind the pool gate, across the sidewalk, up the stairs and into the door of the unit. Previously viewed extension cords ran to this unit on 04/10/2024. Observed a woman knock on the door of the unit, and a person opened the door and let her into the unit. Attempted contact at the unit. Could hear a dog barking inside, but there was no answer. Electricity is off at the meter. Spoke to the property manager Vernisha on site, advsd of the existing case at the unit, and asked why there were extension cords to the unit and who placed them there. She stated she had connected them and that they were there for people working on the unit. Asked permission to view the unit, she stated it was none of our business and she would not be allowing access to any units. -VM
04/17/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Served search warrant with Inspector Oropesa on site. Found the unit to be occupied by multiple individuals with multiple extension cords, splitters, and surge protectors powering lighting, TV's, cooking devices and other items in an unsafe and non code compliant manner. Electric meter is still off. Unit was condemned for no power and property manager was ordered to disconnect the extension cords. City did call contractor out to secure the unit, however property management on site refused city contractor to secure the unit and did secure the unit. TPD was called and responded to site. Property manager and occupants of the unit refused to answer any questions. Property manager requested to have Code Enforcement trespassed from the property. Unit was boarded by maintenance. Unit was posted with Red Tag - Unsafe to Occupy. -VM
09/21/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 1210 PM - Follow up on site, unit is now vacant. Looked into front window, there is now damage to the ceiling in the living area. -VM
