The resident informed me that she has refused the property owner to enter the property previously because of some dispute over money. I informed her that she should not refuse service if she would like code enforcement to intervene on her behalf, or I would not be able to move forward with that portion of the case. I contacted to owner who corroborated the residents account and I informed him that his dispute with the resident had nothing to do with the other issues that exist at the property. The property owner does not have the approval to convert the single family resident into a multi-family unit, which he does have three separate families living on the property. One family resides in the main house, another family resides in the main house but separated by a wall and the third family resides in a separate unit behind the main house. All units appear to have electrical, A/C and water. I informed the owner that he needs to obtain the permits for the roof repair, ceiling repair and electrical work that is currently being done at the property and he agrees to do whatever needs done. Resident refused service at the time that the property owner was attempting to fix all the roofing issues. | |
