07/16/2026 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation On site with tenant for an emergency call(tree in building). Emergency services was no longer on scene. Upon inspection, the following hazardous conditions were observed. A mature tree had uprooted and was leaning against the multi-family residential building. The tree was bearing on the exterior wall and roof assembly. A large tree limb penetrated the roof and ceiling of an occupied dwelling unit, creating an opening into the interior of the structure. The damaged roof and ceiling compromised the structural integrity of the affected unit and exposed the interior to weather.
The tree remains unstable and presents an imminent risk of further collapse, falling limbs, and additional structural damage. The affected area has been secured with caution tape; however, the hazardous condition requires immediate correction. Electricity was isolated from the bathroom by locating breaker in the breaker panel. This breaker switch was turned to the off position. Permits are required within 60 days. The breaker switch is to remain off until a licensed contractor completes an inspection of this unit and all repairs are completed. Unit is condemned. Tenant secured unit and signed all necessary paperwork. "Do Not Enter" signs placed on front window.
