Date Description Inspector Results Comments
07/11/2026 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation On site with property manager and TFD captain for a emergency call(tree in building). A mature tree located adjacent to the multi-family residential building was observed with extensive canopy dieback, numerous dead limbs, and a significant lean toward the structure. Large scaffold branches extend directly over the roof and are leaning on the occupied dwelling unit. The tree exhibits signs of deterioration that may present a hazard to occupants and pedestrians. The area beneath the tree had been restricted with caution tape. Due to the tree’s proximity to the structure and pedestrian access areas the tree needs to be removed immediately. Additionally, minor interior cracking was observed at the wall-to-ceiling intersection of the building. The cracking may indicate structural movement and should be evaluated by a licensed contractor. If work on this unit goes beyond cosmetic a permit will be required within 60 days. Unit was not condemned due to the fact that this tree has been in this position for several days and was not creating additional damage to the building. However tenants were given the opportunity to move to another unit. All necessary paper work was signed and handed to property manager.
