758 am - Entered apartment complex from the Mission Rd side of property. All light fixtures are turned off and I am unable to determine the color temperature of the outdoor light fixtures. Spoke with maintenance men on site to include the manager. They revealed that light fixtures may have been set to operate above 3500 Kelvin upon replacement of outdated or fixtures at the end of their lifecycle. They stated the fixtures were purchased at a local retail store such as Home Depot or Lowes. They informed me that the majority of the fixtures on the premises have a switch that can control the color temperature and they would begin adjusting the color temperature to 3500 Kelvin or lower. Did explain that for the lollipop style fixtures that have been re-lamped would need to re-lamp with 3500 Kelvin or lower as those bulbs need replacement. The lights referenced in the complaint on palm trees appear to be outdoor rated rope lights that plug directly into an outlet. They are decorative in nature and as such no action will be taken against them in line with current procedure. Will followup in approximately 45 days to assess progress on the outdoor light fixtures. -VM |
