07/08/2025 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation 839 pm - Called out to site by TFD. There was a fire that ignited in or around electrical line on the east facing wall north of the front door. It is an exterior wall to the master bedroom. The electrical line is burned and bare copper remains. The two wall studs on either side of the electric outlet are fire damaged. The bottom plate below the outlet is fire damaged. There is a separate Romex line above this that is black from fire and the sheathing has minimal damage, unknown extent of damage to this line. Fire department isolated power to the burned and bare line prior to my arrival. Was able to isolate power to the second referenced Romex line with homeowner on site. There is damage to the exterior wood wall and the interior drywall. Per TFD, fire did not spread to roof and there is no attic space. There is no smoke damage inside the bedroom. Advised homeowner a permit is required for all repairs and isolated breakers shall remain off. Emergency conditions are abated, close case. -VM
