Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a building fire. Arrived and the units were still on site and checking for hot spots and working with other units. Had a fire in the kitchen and the wood cabinets, drywall, sliding glass door, have all been burned. The wood framing is OK and will need to be checked once the drywall has been removed. The unit is a 2-story and has heavy smoke damage through out. The electrical was removed at the meter and the wiring will need to be checked for heat damage. Did talk to the owner of the unit and not able to secure the site and gave permission to call the City of Tucson contractor to cover openings. All other windows and doors were able to be locked. The owner signed the paperwork and left the site. Their family members lived in the unit. There was no gas to the property and all electric. The water was able to be left on. Posted Do Not Enter on the front window. RV. |
