Had a fire in unit 2102 and T.F.D. did a force entry on the front door. Smoke was in the unit and had no fire damage. Did get with the Fire Chief and blowers were placed to get the smoke out. The owner of the unit was not on site and no contact has been made. The wood jamb on the lock side has been damaged and not able to secure the wooden door. The metal security door has also been forced open and the frame and the door and lock has been damaged. The owner did show and was asking for his cats and not able to locate the cats. The owner was checking the unit and found the cats in the bathroom in the tub. The owner was complaining on the damage and was directed to call Risk Management on the damage to the doors. The metal security door did lock when it closed and was not able to open the door. Was going to place screws in the door and the owner said the locking was OK. The electrical was placed back on to the unit. The owner took the cats and will be staying somewhere else for the night. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV. |
