07/13/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 1037 AM - Met on site with tenants who allowed access to inside of structure. There is apparent water damage to ceiling above bar area, evidenced by bubbling and peeling paint. The outlet in this area tested as wired correctly and showed no signs of burn marks. 3 outlets installed near sinks in kitchen are not GFCI. Missing light globe in bathroom hallway. Missing labels on breaker box by back door. Missing face plate on outdoor electric panel, and missing a breaker leaving an open slot. Water heater vent pipe is disconnected. The water heater is being powered by an extension cord that is run outside of the water heater room, up the wall, through a gutter and over to and plugged into another extension cord next to the above mentioned breaker panel that is missing the cover plate in a non code compliant manner. Tenant states shorting in area near walk in fridge causing issues to the equipment, this was unable to be verified at this time. Water heater will need a permit for reconnect. There is plumbing installed with no permits in a non code compliant manner under a ramada at the rear patio of the restaurant. Will issue a notice of violation. -VM
08/15/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 1120 AM - Met on site with property owner, he states the tenant has vacated. The extension cord running to the water heater has been removed. All other violations remain. -VM
01/31/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 250 PM - Did not hear back from owner since last contact at the end of September. Returned to property for a follow up and found the owner has re-leased the building to a new tenant and there is now a new restaurant open for business. Ceiling has been repaired in former bar area and repainted. New tenant states has not leaked since he moved in. The light globe has been replaced in the bathroom hallway. The face plate has been replaced w/ labels for breakers, however there are still missing breakers leaving openings into the panel. The panel cover is open and a person could come in contact with energized electrical equipment on the patio of the restaurant. The non-permitted plumbing was removed. Citations 6921497, 6921498 have been issued for all remaining unabated violations.
