06/07/2026 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation Arrival on scene at 957 AM, TFD on scene reports a suspected homeless fire to a mattress and recycle bin at the northeast corner of the structure spread to the structure. There is visible damage to the overhang of the roof in this area, and has burned structural members. There is an approximately 2' X 2' hole cut into the roof by TFD for firefighting activity. Per TFD, fire did spread through the attic space. On the interior, water is draining out of the ceiling and an HVAC vent in the kitchen. There is water draining out of the ceiling and light fixtures in the living room. The ceiling in the laundry room is also draining water and has cracked drywall. Water is draining out of the ceiling in the bathroom closest to the fire. The second floor has heavy smoke damage and charring around the HVAC vents throughout. Power has been cut by TEP to Unit 2 prior to my arrival at the meter. Unit 1 does not appear to have any damage beyond minor smoke in the unit and all breakers are on. Unit 2 is condemned and may not be occupied. A licensed contractor is required for all repairs and requires an issued permit. -VM
