06/10/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation 227 PM - Called out to site by TFD for a fire at the rear (south) end of the trailer. Per resident, he was playing video games on a computer or gaming system connected to a TV, heard a loud top and the gaming system and TV went out. He came out to check the breaker panel at rear and found a fire. The fire burned a coax cable line and caused charring damage to the siding of the trailer and a wooden stud. Siding that was melted has been removed. There is electrical ran to the trailer in this area in a non-compliant manner. The main electric line from the breaker panel to the trailer is above ground and subject to being stepped on or tripped over. TFD was unable to determine the source of the fire. Unable to determine if the electric played a role in the source of the fire. Per resident, there is also a breaker box inside that has what appears to be Romex ran into it. He also states he installed a breaker as he had no power in the bedroom or bathroom for about the past week. Did post unit unsafe to occupy until a licensed electrician can review electrical system. Issued NOV for permits required. Electric is off at meter disconnect with padlock. -VM
