At Unit 155, vacant and secured unit, did observe similar situations to include collapsed ceiling tiles and water pooled on the floor. TEP arrived on site and determined that power to the building was controlled by three transformers but unaware which transformers served which parts of the building. At approximately 8:30 PM power was cut to the entire building and residents began to evacuate the site. At approximately 9:00 PM a large portion of the drywall ceiling to the west of the parking garage entrance collapsed onto the ground and sidewalk below. The area was caution taped off by TFD. Unit 1401 sustained extensive damage. Large portions of drywall ceiling collapsed. Electric wiring in the attic and in the walls, electric outlets and switches, and the electrical panel were covered in water. There was water pooled at the bottom of the electrical panel. Unit 1301 sustained similar water damage to ceiling, a light fixture had fallen down from the ceiling leaving electrical wires exposed. The electrical panel had water inside and pooled at the bottom of the panel. Inspector Tidwell arrived on scene at approximately 9:50 PM. Agave Building Management called an electrician to the scene who reviewed electrical in the building and recommended power be left off at Units 1401, 1301, 135, 145, and 155. At approximately 2:00 AM power was restored to all other units. Commercial units 135, 145 and 155 were secured by business operators. Agave management signed Notice and Order to secure residential units 1401 and 1301. Units 1401, 1301, 135, 145 and 155 were condemned and marked with Red Tags as Unsafe to Occupy, power left off at meter by TEP with Permit required for reconnect. Permits are required for all repairs to all units and all work is to be completed by licensed contractors, to include replacement of electrical wiring and fixtures that came in contact with water. -VM
