Arrived on scene at 403 AM with TPD on scene. Vehicle drove through a concrete and rebar support pillar along the west side of the structure fronting 4th Av and struck the building. The pillar has been sheared off the base sidewalk which has a metal support that is sheared off, and rebar is sheared at the top of the pillar. There is no visible cracking or sagging on either side of the wall in the area around the missing pillar. There is damage to the wall where the pillar struck the building. Stucco/plaster and shutter is damaged in this area. No apparent damage to the window behind this. Repairs are to be made by a licensed contractor with an issued permit. -VM |
