The commercial adobe building has been destroyed by fire, smoke and water. The roof has an approx. 4x4 hole and several inspection holes. The wood ceiling and flooring are destroyed. At the rear of the building there is significant damage and cracking on the south and west concrete retaining walls at the landing of the stairs to the basement. There is approximately 1-2 feet of water in the basement due to firefighting activity. Basement is destroyed from fire, smoke and water damage. There is bare and exposed wiring due to melted sheathing. The support beams and floor joists have extensive damage and likely need to be replaced. There are holes in the floor from ground level into the basement. Interior walls, insulation and electrical has been damaged. Electrical service has been disconnected at meter by TEP prior to arrival. There is no gas service at property. Water was shut off by TFD at street. All windows and all doors have been damaged/broken. There is wrought iron on the windows/doors that also have damage. There are several windows that were previously enclosed with 4x4, insulation and drywall. City contractor was called to secure. Licensed contractor and all necessary permits will be required for all repairs. HPZ may need to review property before any pairs can be done. Property has been condemned. Hourly watch has been place with TFD for possible rekindling. |
