The office called that T.F.D. on site with apartment fire with the insulation. Arrived and all the units have cleared the site and the maintenance was turning the water back on to the building. The maintenance was soldering a fitting at the bottom under the sink and the insulation caught fire and went up the wall to the soffit area in the kitchen. They made hole in the drywall on the walls and ceiling to pull the insulation out and check for fire extensions. The fire was put out by the maintenance. The tenant will be placed in another unit due to the damage of the walls and the electrical meter was turned off due to the fire damage to the romex wiring in the wall. The manager was on site and signed the paperwork. The maintenance will secure the door once all the items are removed to the other unit where the tenant will be moved to. The fire charred wood studs at the top of the soffit in the kitchen and no structural damage to the building. RV. |
