Called out to site by TPD due to a previously condemned home being occupied. Arrived and found the front door is ajar, owner came outside and states he is using multiple generators to power the structure. He allowed access to property, I verified the main electric meter serving the home is off and a second electric meter and panel on second unit is missing the meter and the dead front. Home was previously condemned on or around 03/06/2026 under case CE-VIO0226-00959. In the area of the electric meter, on the west side of the main home, there is an addition to the roof that compromises the required 8 foot distance between the roof and the electric drop. This may need to be addressed prior to reconnecting power. In addition, there is many instances of electrical work done without permits including romex lines ran out of the electric panel and exposed under the aforementioned roof addition that is powering electrical outlets, switches, and light fixtures. There is some type of addition to the structure at the southwest portion of the structure built out of wood and appears to be a staircase to the roof. The yard of the property is full of excessive trash and debris. Issued an order to vacate to the owner and ordered the property secured. -VM |
