04/02/2024 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | VISITED SITE AT THE REQUEST OF TPD, THEY STATED THERE WERE TWO PEOPLE INSIDE THE HOUSE WITH NO UTILITIES AND USING A MAKE SHIFT STOVE TO COOK AND STAY WARM. INSPECTION DID FIND NO UTILITIES INSIDE WHAT APPEARED TO BE A GARAGE, THERE WERE NO OTHER STRUCTURES ON THE LARGE LOT (2 PARCELS). THERE WAS SMOKE DAMAGE TO THE WALLS AND RAFTERS FROM THE COOKING INSIDE. ALL WALLS HAD BEEN GRAFFITIED. THERE WAS TRASH AND DEBRIS THRU OUT THE INTERIOR, ONLY PATHWAY TO THE EXTERIOR WAS FROM THE EAST DOORWAY OPENING. TPD ASKED THE TWO HOMELESS INSIDE TO BEGIN REMOVING ANY BELONGINGS THEY MIGHT NEED. TPD LATER FOUND THE MALE PERSON HAD WARRANTS FOR HIS ARREST AS HE EXITED THE PROPERTY QUICKLY, FEMALE PACKED HER BELONGINGS AND STARTED MOVING THOSE ITEMS. INSPECTOR CONTACTED BOARD UP COMPANY TO SECURE THE DOOR OPENING ON THE EAST SIDE AND WINDOW ON THE WEST WALL. DOUBLE DOOR ON THE NORTH WALL WAS CLOSED AND LOCKED WITH A HASP. C/E AND TPD TRIED CONTACTING THE OWNER BUT RECEIVED NO ANSWER. NOV FOR TRASH AND DEBRIS AND OVERGROWN VEGETATION WILL FOLLOW. |
