| 03/19/2026 | COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial | In Violation | At approximately 751 AM, observed the main electrical panel at the rear of the unit to be unlocked and accessible to persons. The dead front has been removed and is nowhere to be found near the panel. The panel tested live when an electrical tester was put in contact with the bus bar. A person coming in contact with this bus bar could be electrified and electrocuted. The grounding rod exiting the panel has been severed from the ground and was found loose. There was an extension cord found ran out the back door and is laying outside in the dirt of the rear yard of the unit. There is an electrical conduit run that has been installed along the right side of the panel box that was not correctly inserted through a knock out hole on the side or bottom of the panel, and appears a new hole was drilled into the panel, potentially compromising the listing of the electrical panel. TEP was called to scene and cut power at the meter due to the aforementioned hazards. A permit shall be required to remedy the above mentioned defects, including the panel and grounding rod, prior to reconnection of power. The unit is Red-tagged as Unsafe To Occupy due to no electrical. Citation will be issued for violations under active case CE-VIO0925-04256. -VM |
