A car struck the north facing wall of unit 1019, on the other side of the living room, under the front window. There is damage to stucco, and a hole into wall. Structural members are cracked and separated from the foundation. There is an electric line running across this area, but the wiring has no visible signs of damage and no signs of damage to the outlet to the east. Insulation is removed from the area. Called and spoke with answering service for property manager, who said property manager was unable to secure the opening. City contractor was called to secure. City contractor did respond and secure the opening. A permit is required for all repairs with use of a licensed contractor. Emergency conditions abated, close case. -VM |
