City reports the property continues to remain in violation despite cases originally being opened in 2021. City asks for fines to be assessed against defendant. Judge orders City to have authority at its discretion to enter and abate violations after March 17, 2024. Cases LC21027314 and LC21013846 closed pending final abatement by either the City or the Defendant. Fines of $750 are suspended by the Judge. -VM

03/26/2024 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up Passed Defendant and her adult son (occupant of property) both present, and trial was held. Defendant was found responsible for all 4 charges on Citation 6921477, docket LC23045338. Fines totaling $728, judge did suspend $500 of fines, leaving $228 in fines remaining. A one year abatement order shall remain in effect until 03/26/2025 for charges relating to obstructing sidewalk space, storage in front yard, violation of a site plan, and compliance review for walls built. All charges are in compliance and case will be closed. -VM
04/18/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation On 4/18, a motion was filed with City Court to reopen existing cases LC21013846, LC21015475 and LC21027314, which had a one year abatement, due to property violating the one year abatement. Hearing has been scheduled for 5/16 at 930 AM at City Court. -VM

City reports she is in violation of the Court's order as the front yard is full of storage items and the wall needs to be permitted as it is not built according to the Compliance Review she applied for. Defendant reports the OSB wall is being removed as it was temporary and a block wall will be constructed in its place. Judge orders the wall be completed and all front storage removed by October 16, 2023 and issued a continuance until October 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM. -VM

Knocked loudly at gate and yelled out to home, there was no answer. Will proceed to issuing a new citation for additional violations of failure to comply with a site plan, obstructing the sidewalk space, storage in front yard. -VM

10/30/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 215 PM - Met on site with resident. Cement mixer has been removed from right of way and moved into front yard. Trailer full of trash has been removed from the street. OSB wall has been cut down to 6 feet, is now in compliance with site plan. Went over need to have entire front yard cleared of storage including the bobcat and cement mixer. Resident states he was not at the September 6, 2022 hearing and was not aware the front yard is the area between the front of the home and the curb. I explained to him it is the front yard and cannot have any storage, regardless of whether or not there is a wall. -VM
