02/13/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial Passed VISITED SITE FOR A FIRE IN UNIT #7, WHILE THERE I DISCOVERED UNIT #8 WAS STEALING POWER FROM UNIT #9 AND IN TURN WAS ALLOWING UNIT & 7 TO ALSO USE THE POWER. OWNER WAS CONTACTED FOR THE FIRE IN #7 AND ARRIVED SHORTLY AFTER THE INSPECTOR. I INFORMED THE OWNER THAT THE OCCUPANT IN #8 WAS STEALING POWER FROM #9 AND ALLOWING #7 TO ALSO USE THE POWER AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO CONDEMN UNIT #8. OWNER INFORMED ME THAT THE OCCUPANT IN 8 WAS ELDERLY GETS ASSISTANCE FOR RENT AND HE THINKS SHE MAY WORK BUT KNOWS SHE HAS SOME ADDITIONAL INCOME.BECAUSE THE OCCUPANT WAS NOT AT HOME AND OWNER DID NOT HAVE A CONTACT NUMBER I INFORMED THE OWNER THAT THAT SHE WOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO STAY IN THE UNIT UNTIL ELECTRIC WAS PAID AND THAT SHE COULD BE ARRESTED IF FOUND INSIDE. OWNER STATED HE WOULD MONITOR THE UNIT AND WOULD ACTUALLY BE BACK BY 2:00 PM TO BOARD AND SECURE #7. UNIT WAS POSTED WITH A "DO NOT ENTER, UNFIT TO OCCUPY" PLACARD AND NOV WAS ISSUED TO THE OWNER FOR NO ELECTRIC.
