05/14/2026 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 813 am - Arrival on site with Inspector Slaiwa and TPD officers. Found that rear detached structure has a sub panel mounted on the south wall that has a line ran from the main panel of the front home with no permits. The sub panel is missing the dead front and there are live exposed wires. Power was turned off to this circuit at the main electrical panel. There are two electrical outlets ran out of the subpanel not in outdoor junction boxes and missing covers. This is powering multiple extension cords some of which are ran through the front door. There is water lines installed onto the wall of the structure and serving a washing machine, and there is a sewer line ran in this area. Occupant of the rear structure arrived on site and removed four chihuahuas out of the structure. He was served a copy of the search warrant. The interior of the structure is in good and sanitary condition, however contains electrical hazards including the aforementioned extension cords are powering multiple devices through the use of power strips. There is a front porch light apparently wired to an extension cord wire and plug that enters the inside of structure. There is a hot plate used for cooking. There is a bathroom installed with sink, toilet, and shower. The bedroom contains a ceiling fan wired with wires attached to the ceiling with exposed wire nuts, wall switch out of wall with no electrical cover. Portable air conditioning unit in this room. Structure was deemed unfit to occupy and red tagged. 60 day notice issued to owner and occupant to remodel structure and repair electrical work with issued permits and licensed contractor required. -VM
07/15/2026 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 1118 am - Follow-up on site. The rear structure remains secured and red tag is posted. Owner of property is working on abating violations, follow up in approximately 45 days. -VM
