There is extensive damage to the exterior wall and support columns holding up the balcony of the upstairs unit 608. The balcony of Unit 608 does not appear to be sagging or collapsing at this time. On the inside of Unit 607, there are multiple studs separated from the base plate. There is a small area of damage to the base plate. There is an electrical outlet on this wall with the cover removed. Unknown if damage to the romex line behind the insulation. Isolated power to this circuit by turning off breaker. The window on this wall is broken. There is extensive damage to drywall. The force of the impact caused a nightstand to slam into the opposite wall and cause drywall damage to that wall by the door of the bedroom. Tow truck contractor arrive and extracted the vehicle from the building at 1009 AM. Property manager arrived and was ordered to secure the opening into the wall against unauthorized entry and to shore up the area where the support has been compromised. Repairs are to be made by a licensed contractor with an Issued Commercial Addition / Alteration Permit. -VM |
