Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units have cleared from the site. The fire investigators were on site checking for cause. The fire was in the master bathroom in the ceiling area into the attic. The light box was burned and was near the exhaust fan. The fire was contained to the bathroom area and has the trash and debris from the burned insulation and drywall on the carpet flooring in the bedroom. The ceiling joist in the bathroom have charring and burning where the junction box was for the light. The electrical was removed at the meter and will need a reconnect permit once the repairs have been done. The gas was turned off at the meter and will be turned back on without a permit when the electrical is back on. The owner will call the insurance company and get a electrician to cut the damaged wires to get the electrical back on the the house. The damage was contained to the bathroom area with the smell of smoke in the house. The owner signed the paperwork on site and had a place to stay for now. Did not place a Do Not Enter due small amount of damage. The owner will be locking the house when done with gathering the items they need to take. RV. |
