01/18/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units were still on site and was checking for hotspots. Fire investigators on site and checking for cause. The unit was vacant and secured and did a force entry to get into the unit to fight the fire. The front door was damaged on the metal security door with the brick mold coming off the door jamb and the metal bar bent and off the door jamb. The metal door was able to lock at this time in the front. The side door was forced opened and will be able to secure once the screws removed. No vent hole was made on the roof and a casement window was broken by the fire to the bathroom area. The fire started on the exterior of the northeast corner of the unit and burned into the bathroom area and got into the attic space. The electrical in the attic is flex and should be check for heat damage. The roof system is built up rafters and ceiling joists and connected to a second unit. The second unit has no fire damage but has smoke in the unit and the attic area has burned damage on the wood and very light. The electrical was turned back on to that unit #3679. The plaster ceilings were pulled down in all the rooms to check for the fire in the attic. Did make contact with the maintenance supervisor and he came to the site. The supervisor signed the paperwork and will be securing the unit once the worker come to work at daylight hours. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window. Windows that are not boarded up have metal screening on the interior that have pressure clamps to keep in place on the interior of the unit. RV.
