11/02/2022 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial Scheduled VISITED SITE, WAS ALLOWED ENTRY BY THE ELDERLY OCCUPANT WHO STATED WATER WAS LEAKING INTO HER LIVINGROOM AND KITCHEN. I WALKED THE LIVINGROOM AND FOUND NO WATER IN THE LIVINGROOM OR THE KITCHEN. CHECKED UNDER THE KITCHEN CABINETS AND FOUND NO LEAKES UNDER THE SINK, RAN WATER AND STILL NO LEAKS. I WAS TOLD TO BY THE OCCUPANT THAT THE WATER COMES INTO THE HOUSE PERIODICALLY. THE UNIT IS A LOWER FLOOR END UNIT. THE UNIT NEXT DOOR TO THE NORTH IS UNOCCUPIED. I THEN SPOKE WITH A NEIGHBOR WHO HAS WITNESSED THE LEAK AND SHE STATED THE WATER IS COMING FROM THE UNIT BEHIND HER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING. I THEM WENT TO THE MANAGER ASKED IF THEY WERE AWARE OF THE LEAK AND THEY STATED THAT THE PERSON BEHIND HER WAS FOUND WITH A WASHING MACHINE THAT WAS DRAINING INTO THE TUB, AND NOW THE OVERFLOW VALVE WOULD ALSO NEED TO BE REPLACED AND HAS BEEN ORDERED AND INSTALLED ON 11/04/2022. A FIELD NOV WAS ISSUED TO REMOVE THE WASHING MACHINE FROM THE UNIT ALTOGETHER SO THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN AGAIN AND INSTALL A OVERFLOW VALVE.
