07/18/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial Scheduled VISITED SITE, UPON ARRIVAL FOUND TFD OR TPD WERE NO LONGER ON SITE. INSPECTION FOUND A CAR HAD ENTERED THE FRONT WALL OF PETSMART EAST OR TO THE RIGHT OF THE FRONT DBL DOORS. CAR HAD ENTERED THE MANAGERS OFFICE, THERE WAS A HOLE OUTSIDE APPROX 4 FT X 6 FT OF 1/2 INCH PLYWOOD SHEAR WALL AND DAMAGED STUCCO BUT ADDITIONAL CRACKING ABOVE THE 4 X 6 HOLE. INSIDE (3) 2X6 STUDS WERE DISPLACED OR KICKED OFF THE BOTTOM PLATE. INTERIOR DRY WALL WAS DAMAGED ON THE FRONT WALL AND WOULD TAKE (2) 4 X 8 SHEETS OR DRYWALL TO MAKE REPAIRS. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE DROPPED CEILING. I FOLDED THE INSULATION UP AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS NO ELECTRIC RUNNING THRU THE STUDS. THERE WAS A OUTLET OPPOSITE END OF THE DAMAGED WALL BUT NO DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRIC WIRING OR OUTLET. MANAGER HAD CONTACTED REGIONAL MANAGER AND PLACED A REPAIR ORDER FOR THE DAMAGE BUT HER CONTRACTOR WILL NOT BE OUT UNTIL THE FOLLOWING DAY TO ACCESS THE DAMAGE. I INSPECTED THE ROOM NEXT TO THE DAMAGED AREA BUT FOUND ONLY COSMETIC DAMAGE TO THE DESK AND SHELVING. A FIELD NOV WAS ISSUED BUT A PERMIT WAS NOT REQUIRED DUE TO THE SMALL AMOUT OF DAMAGE TO THE WALL AND MINIMUM MATERIAL REPLACEMENT. ALL CUMPUTERS AND REGISTERS WERE WORKING. CHECKED SERVICE PANEL AND FOUND NO BREAKERS HAD BEEN KICKED. I ALLOWED STORE TO STAY OPEN. ARCADIAN WAS CONTACTED TO SECURE THE HOLE IN THE WALL, MANAGER MOVED OUT OF HER OFFICE UNTIL REPAIRS CAN BE MADE. C/E INSPECTORS WILL COMPLETE A FOLLOW UP INSPECTION FOR ALL REPAIRS.
