TODAY THEY WERE CALLED BECAUSE THE ADULT SON, A ALCOHOLIC, TODAY WAS INJURED, AND TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. TFD WALKED ME TO THE OWNER INSIDE FAMILY ROOM AT THE S/E CORNER OF THE PROPERTY. THE OWNER STATED SHE WAS ELDERLY IN HER 80'S AND HAS BACK PROBLEMS DUE TO SLIPPED DISKS IN THE SPINE, SHE CONFIRMED HER SON IS A ALCOHOLIC WHO REFUSES HELP, HE FELL AND WAS INJURED. SHE STATED IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR HER TO GET AROUND AND CLEAN THE HOUSE, OWNER STATED MOSTLY WHAT I SEE IS TRASH THAT CLUTTERS PATHWAYS IS NEVER TAKEN OUT, BUT COULD BE THROWN OUT BUT SHE WOULD NEED HELP, SON IS UNABLE TO HELP HER BECAUSE SHE NEVER KNOWS IS HE IS HAVING A GOOD OR BAD DAY. INSPECTION FOUND OWNER SITTING ON THE COUCH WITH DEBRIS LEFT AROUND HER. THE BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS WERE FILLED WITH TRASH AND DEBRIS AND DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE. SAME WITH THE LIVINGROOM AND SMALL FAMILY ROOM, KITCHEN AND SHORT HALLWAY. OWNER DID HAVE CATS, LITTER BOXES WERE IN THE HALLWAY, ANIMAL FECIES WAS SCATTERED THRU OUT THE UNIT. I EXPLAINED TO THE OWNER THAT AT A MINIMUM I NEEDED PATHWAYS FROM ALL ROOMS KITCHEN AND BATH CLEARED SO THAT THEY COULD EXIT THE STRUCTURE IN CASE OF FIRE OR EMERGENCY. OWNER HAS ELECTRIC AND WATER BUT IT IS DIFFICULT TO GET TO THE SINK. OWNER ALSO STATED SHE DOES HAVE HEAT BUT THE DOOR TO THE HEATER IS ALSO DIFFICULT TO GET TO. I STATED I WOULD TRY TO GET HER HELP BUT COULD NOT PROMISE THAT WOULD HAPPEN, AND THEN EXPLAINED SHE WOULD RECEIVE A NOTICE OF VIOLATION TO CLEAN THE STRUCTURE WITHIN 30 DAYS.
