01/20/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial Scheduled VISITED SITE, FOUND A GUARD GATE INTO THE COMMUNITY THAT WAS NOT WORKING, BEING REPAIRED. I CONTACTED THE OWNER WHO STATED SHE WORKS AT A HOSPITAL OUT OF TOWN, HER HUSBAND IS A DOCTOR HERE IN TOWN BUT CANNOT BE REACHED AT THIS TIME. I EXPLAINED THE COMPLAINT TO THE OWNER EXPLAINED I WOULD NEED TO MEASURE HER RAMADA TO DETERMINE IF SHE WOULD REQUIRE A PERMIT OR A COMPLAINCE REVIEW. OWNER STATED SHE WOULD CONTACT HER MOTHER WHO COULD ALLOW ME IN BUT SHE NEEDED TO CALL FIRST. I WAS ALLOWED ENTRY, I WALKED TO THE REAR YARD, FOUND THE RAMADA WAS DETACHTED, IT MEASURED 13' X 15', RAFTERS WERE 2'X 8" 24" O.C, BEAMS WERE 4"X12" GLU LAMB BEAMS. ROOF WAS A HIP ROOF ALL 4 SIDES AND A TILE ROOF COVERING. THE POSTS WERE 12"X12" BLOCK COLLUMS SOLID GROUTED, TIE DOWN STRAPS CEMENTED INTO THE COLLUM, ALL PROPER TIE DOWN CONNECTORS WERE PROVIDED. THE STRUCTURE WAS WELL BUILT. I CONTACTED THE OWNER AND EXPLAINED THAT BECAUSE THE STRUCTURE WAS DETATCHED AND UNDER 200 SQ FEET SHE WOULD ONLY REQUIRE A COMPLIANCE REVIEW AND A INSPECTION OF THE RAMADA BY DSD ALONG WITH A SITE PLAN. I LATER RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE HUSBAND WHO EXPLAINED HE RECENTLY REPLACED A PERSON ON THE HOA REVIEW BOARD WHO IS VERY UPSET WITH HIM AND WAS PROBABLY THE PERSON WHO MADE THE COMPLAINT AND I EXPLAINED THAT THEY WOULD STILL NEED TO GET THE COMPLIANCE REVIEW. I EXPLAINED WHAT WOULD BE REQUIRED AND TO FIRST CONTACT DSD ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS
