08/08/2022 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved The office called that T.F.D. on site with a collasped awning. Arrived and the unit was still on site and has a soffit ceiling on the exterior walkway that has fallen to the ground. Has a wire rib mesh with a 3-coat system that has section that has fallen to the ground. The people working in the area were from the owner of the building and the section fell when placing a sheet of 1/2 OSB on the ceiling joist of a trusses. Has other areas that are loose and those areas will need to be knocked down soon due to already not connected in areas. Will be sending Email to check on approval remove the other loose areas. RV.
08/08/2022 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT BIGMAN Approved EMERGENCY CALL: WORK WITHOUT PERMITS. CONSTRUCTION WORK TO THE WALKWAY SOFFIT CEILING WAS BEING WORKED ON AND WAS NOT ATTACHED PROPERLY AND FELL AN A LARGE SECTION. WEIGHT ADDED CAUSED TO COLLAPSE DUE TO THE RIB MESH WAS NOT ATTACHED AND HAD STAPLES THAT WERE LOOSE. WALKWAY CEILING OF STUCCO AND WIRE RIB MESH BACKING COLLAPSED ONTO WALKWAY DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF AUTOZONE ENTRANCE. THE CAN LIGHTING IN THE CEILING ARE LOOSE AND WILL NEED TO BE CHECKED FOR PROPER CONNECTION. HAS SPRINKLER HEADS IN THE CEILING AND HAVE CUT AN AREA WHEN DEMO THAT IT DOES NOT PULL ON THE SPRINKLER HEAD WHEN FALLING. HAS A LARGE SECTION THAT IS STILL LOOSE AND IS CURRENTLY SUPPORTED WITH 2 X 4'S IN AREAS TO STOP FROM FALLING OR ADDING WEIGHT TO THE OTHER LOOSE AREAS. WILL CHECK IF CAN CONTINUE THE DEMO DUE TO LACKING THE PERMIT AND WAS STARTING TO PLACE 1/2 OSB ON THE CEILING JOISTS TO HAVE THE STUCCO PLACED ON TOP OF THE OSB. HAS OTHER AREAS ON THE OTHER SIDE WHERE IT FELL THAT WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED DUE TO HAS A SAG AND WILL BE CHECK TOMORROW.
