06/08/2022 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a building fire. Arrived and no one on site and was not able to locate the fire. Did talk to the neighbors and they showed me the area of the fire. The fire was in a storage room and contained to the room. Had living units next to the storage room and has no fire damage on the interior of the units. The storage room has a light switch that was involved in the fire and the wires were removed and taped up. When trying to re-store power to the units, found where the meter was blanked and not able to turn the power back on. Did tell the tenants that they need to find the owner or the property manager to get an electrician to have the permit issued for reconnect and inspected to get the electrical back on. Did have a water line that the angle stop was melted and not able to stop the water from running. Did find a back flow and that was turned off until the water line can be repaired to stop the water from running. Did get a phone number to call the property manager and called him and let him know of the fire and what has to be done to get the electrical and the water back on. The drywall in the room is all burned or removed to check for fire in the ceiling or walls. The light fixture is also burned with the wiring burned or heat damage. Had no door and may have been involved in the fire. Not able to open a case due to the computers are not working. RV.
06/21/2022 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved A permit has been issued for the electrical to be turn back on. T22CM04264 was issued and inspected on 6-8-22 with being finaled to be tuned back on. All the electrical was back on and the units are occupied and at this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
