05/12/2022 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved The office called that T.F.D. was on site with a shed fire. Arrived and the units were leaving the site and had a fire in the alley and carried into the storage room than into the house. The unit was vacant and secured and had some openings made to enter the unit. The unit was not damage other than smoke and pulling down some drywall to check if the fire got in the space of the rafters on the roof. The door for the storage room was damage to open the door where the shed was burning. The rafters have some burning and charring on the wood rafter for the storage room. The roof is leaking and the height is below 7' through out the unit. Will be recommending that the unit be removed by demo. Has a unit in front of this unit and has some smell of smoke but no fire damage. They will be allowed to stay in the unit if the smell doesn't bother them. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window and on the side window in the rear of the unit that was vacant. Did call SWG due to the gas has been turned off and needs to be turned back on for the water heater and the gas stove in unit 5. The stove and the water heater in unit 5 were left off due to not able to leave the flame on and the stove was lacking the grills on all the burners. Did call the manager and will check tomorrow. Did ask if they can be placed in another unit due to has other issues as the roof leaking, no heat, has a window unit in the wall and not large enough. Left the paperwork with the tenant due to the manager was on site and than left the site. RV.
